Privacy policy

The short version
Your files are never sent to us. Every tool on this site runs in your browser, on your device. There is no upload endpoint in the code, no server that processes documents, and no storage where files could be kept. We cannot see your documents because they never reach us.
The site is funded by display advertising, which does involve cookies. That is disclosed in full below.
Files you process
All conversion, merging, splitting, compression, signing, and text extraction happens locally using JavaScript and WebAssembly libraries served from this domain. Files are read into your browser's memory, processed, and written back out as a download. When you close or reload the tab, the working copy is discarded. Nothing is written to a server, and nothing persists after the tab closes.
You do not have to take this on trust. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network panel, and run any conversion on the site. No request carrying your file is made, because there is no endpoint to receive one.
Passwords entered into the Unlock PDF tool are used in the tab to decrypt the document and are then discarded. They are not stored, logged, or transmitted.
Information we do collect
We do not operate accounts, so we hold no names, email addresses, or profiles. Standard web server logs may record the usual technical information for any site request — IP address, browser user agent, referring page, and the URL requested — for security and basic traffic measurement. These logs contain no information about the contents of files you process, because that information never leaves your device.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- Google's own policy on how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertisements are positioned away from the working area of every tool and are hidden while a tool is actively running. Advertising scripts have no access to the contents of files you process — those exist only in your browser's memory and are never exposed to the page's ad slots.
Local storage
The site stores one preference in your browser's local storage: your choice of light or dark theme. It is read only by this site, contains no personal information, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Visitors in the EU, UK, and California
Where required, a consent notice is presented before non-essential cookies are set, and you may decline. Declining does not restrict access to any tool on the site, because the tools do not depend on cookies to function.
Because we do not collect personal data through accounts or forms, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete on request. For advertising cookies set by Google, use the opt-out links above, which are controlled by Google rather than by us.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Third-party links
The site links to external sites, including a tip page. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
